A pair of lovers in a world gone mad, a nation composed only of themselves—a nation of two.

Kurt Vonnegut's poetic words hold a special significance in Caitlin and Joe's shared story. It all began in a picturesque little town in Switzerland overlooking Lake Geneva and surrounded by rolling vineyards. Here in Nyon, the two met in high school and were soon to become totally inseparable. For over a decade since, across distances, through great loss and hard fought victory, they have immersed themselves in the tremendous pursuit of loving one another well. When we first had the chance to meet Caitlin & Joe, taking a drive through the Swiss countryside, I asked what they most enjoyed doing together. Joe's thoughtful response was, "we love just existing in each other's company". To anyone who has observed these two, the truth of this is evident: Their love for one another is effortless, and their admiration for each other is tangible.

The first of July came warm and golden-hued. Energy and excitement was in the air as we arrived at the lovely chateau covered in ivy. What a perfect day to celebrate the love of two incredible people!
